InstagramXuanming Chen (b. 2004, Suzhou, China) is an artist currently based in Providence, Rhode Island. He is pursuing a BFA in Painting at the Rhode Island School of Design. Raised in a culturally rich environment and trained in drawing and oil painting from an early age, Chen brings a sustained attention to materiality, mark-making, and visual rhythm into his contemporary painting practice. His work has been exhibited at art institutions in both China and the United States, and is held in private collections in the United States, the UK, China, and Japan.
